The 2023 Sneaker Gala will be an evening dedicated to celebrating Team AAKOMA – which comprises a diverse pool of young people from all walks of life and experiences. The cohort is the driving force behind AAKOMA’s programs and initiatives for BIPOC and marginalized youth for 2022 – 2023.
The DMV-based, in-person event will also serve as the official unveiling of a Starbucks-funded project created by Team AAKOMA. In addition to highlighting the contributions of the cohort, the event is an opportunity for our organization to invite select industry leaders to learn more about our mission and showcase our commitment to the mental wellbeing of Youth of Color.
